Aircraft Owners Operating Costs – The Interactive Aircraft Budget Analyzer ™, Full Edition, provides operating cost analysis for aircraft owners. Airplane owners, can get the cost of the aircraft’s real operating expenses and it also allows users to compare different aircraft before purchase. The operating cost software, Full Edition, calculates the operating costs of 172 of the most popular aircraft including jets, turboprops, piston engine aircraft and helicopters. (See the individual edition descriptions for list of the 172 aircraft.) The software uses preloaded aircraft numbers that were derived by extensive research from numerous sources. But, the real power of the program is the ability of the user to custom tailor the numbers to reflect the true figures for their own aircraft giving an accurate picture of the true operating cost.
Each preloaded aircraft includes figures for:
- Gallons used per hour
- Airframe maintenance expenses
- Engine reserve expense
- Average crew salaries including benefits
- Average hangar expense
- Average insurance expense
- Miscellaneous expenses which include:
- Weather service
- Recurrent training
- Refurbishing costs
- Navigation charts
Other key tracking components for the Budget Analyzer are:
Variable Choice of Operating Hours - Use preloaded hours or interactively add your own. The interactive function allows the user to instantly change the number of hours that it is anticipated that the aircraft will be utilized. This change instantly carries over through all budget numbers, percentages and charts.
Variable Fuel Cost - Use preloaded fuel costs or interactively add in any dollar amount. Once a fuel cost is selected, the user can instantly view the effect that the fuel rate will have on the operation through all budget numbers, percentages and charts.
Aircraft Payment - Calculates the aircraft payment by choosing interest rate, payment period, term of loan and loan amount from preloaded drop-down menus or type in your own predetermined numbers. This function also lets the user calculate the payment by breaking down the amount between principal and interest. The user can also see the impact that different types of financing arrangements may have on the operation by changing finance amounts, terms, and interest rates in multiple combinations. The analyzer also allows you to input your monthly lease payment.
Hourly Rate - The hourly rate section considers any changes you may make to any of the interactive areas and instantly provides you with an updated hourly number based on those changes.
Annual Variable Costs - This section gives you a total variable budget for the year and breaks it down into sections which include; total fuel gallons used, total fuel costs, total maintenance, and total engine reserves. All these figures will re-adjust based on the total number of hours selected.
Annual Fixed Costs - The fixed costs section allows you to view your total annual fixed costs including; fuel cost per hour, crew, hangar, insurance, payment, and miscellaneous. Interactive sections that can be changed include: fuel costs per gallon, fuel gallons, airframe maintenance and engine reserve.
Budget Choices - Select to show the budget annually and monthly or by percentages. Updates happen instantaneously whenever the user interactively modifies the budget information. The budget information is based on the aircraft, the hours, fuel costs, and the payment configuration selected and any changes made to the variable or fixed interactive areas.
Charts/Visual Presentation - This section allows the user to view various type charts and graphs based upon the information submitted for hours, fuel costs and the payment configuration selected and any changes made to the variable or fixed interactive areas.
Depreciation Schedule - Full 5-year and 7-year depreciation schedules instantly! This information is based on the actual purchase price of the aircraft and includes depreciation for years one through five or one through seven. The depreciation section also includes an adjusted cost per hour based on the depreciated amount. These calculations are based on active users only.
Trip Cost Calculator/Trip Justification - The trip cost calculator provides an interactive area where you can figure the estimated time and cost of a trip. This section gives you information such as: how long the trip is projected to take in hours, projected direct trip costs, projected total trip costs, and projected trip cost in nautical miles. It also allows the user to compute justification for any trip based on time saved and interactive employee values. The justification section lets you interactively figure out costs that are associated to the selected aircraft based on: the total hours saved by using the aircraft over other means of transportation, any overnight expenses saved, the value of the executive person(s) hours, and number of executives involved.
Annual Summary -The annual summary is the total of all the selected information such as: type of aircraft selected, annual hours flown, price of fuel and all other pertinent information relating to the use of that aircraft on an annual basis.
Comparison - Your can create and view comparisons of up to four different aircraft. You can compare different aircraft that you have created with preloaded aircraft, compare all preloaded aircraft, or compare four aircraft that you have created.
Save Budget And/Or Print Budget - You can save the completed budget on a hard drive for future use and the budget that was created can be saved on a monthly basis for future reference or for month-to-month comparison. The user can also print out the budgets.
