Wood Biplane Sign - Can Be Personalized

Our vintage wood Biplane Sign has the look and feel of a real antique. The open cockpit biplane helps to recollect the golden age of flight when barnstorming pilots would land in open fields and offer airplane rides for only 50 cents. The biplane was also one of the first aircraft to carry mail for the U.S. Postal Service. To achieve the antique look planks of reclaimed hemlock and alder wood are joined with the tongue and groove method. An original painting of the sign is completed and then printed on the wood. It’s the natural imperfections and knots on the wood that give the Biplane Sign its character and vintage style.

Made in the U.S., our Biplane Sign is about 1 inch thick and is available in 2 sizes. The standard size sign measures about 26" by 14" and the large sign measures about 32" x 20". There is a keyhole slot on the back of the sign for easy hanging. This sign may be ordered as shown or with personalization.

The word Freeman’s shown on top of the sign and on the plane may be replaced with words of your choice to customize this sign for a truly unique aviation gift. As an example; you may wish to say “Johnson’s.” We also replace “Billy Brooks” with a name of your choice.
