To create this stunning gift the ancient art of engraving is combined with modern technology. Using special equipment, a complete copy of the pilot’s license is electronically engraved, including signatures and the FAA logo, onto quality jeweler’s satin brass (5.5" by 7.5") for a distinguished appearance. After engraving, the brass plate is then handsomely mounted on black velvet matting. A solid, real wood frame crafted from American walnut (10" by 12") is the final touch to create this special gift for the aviator. And, for special presentation, the Custom Engraved Pilot’s License Plaque arrives enclosed in a gift box.

After placing your online order, we need some information to create this special gift. Please provide the following information via email to service @tailwinds.com.

1. Copy of pilot’s license – This provides verification that the gift is for someone who is a pilot.
   
2. A “word” document that provides the information from the license. Please check your work to make sure that it is completely accurate.
   
3. A good copy of the pilot’s signature. Most license signature’s are too illegible for us to make a clear copy of the signature.
