MD-80 Model Planes – Delta Airlines is the 2nd largest operator on domestic routes of the MD-80 aircraft with American Airlines being the largest. The MD-80 aircraft was derived from the DC-9 and is a twin-engine, medium-range, single-aisle commercial jet airplane that can seat up to 172 passengers. When Delta Airlines acquired Northwest Airlines in 2008 they became the largest airline for scheduled passengers and have the largest fleet of aircraft.

The model scale is 1/100th with an approximate 13 inch wingspan and about a 17 ½ inch length. It is crafted from molded resin and is a striking aviation gift.
