MD-80 Model Planes – Northwest Airlines was one of many commercial airlines that flew the popular MD-80 aircraft. The McDonnell Douglas MD-80 aircraft was by flown by Northwest pilots beginning in 1986 until the airplane was retired from service in 1999 from the Northwest Airlines fleet. It was a popular aircraft for companies like Northwest because it was a good aircraft for frequent, short-haul flights.
The model scale is 1/100th with an approximate 13 inch wingspan and about a 17 ½ inch length. It is crafted from molded resin and is a striking aviation gift. This authentic, extraordinary replica of the original aircraft has been faithfully reproduced using exact blueprint specifications.
