Replacement Glass Nose Tip

My original fell off and shattered. I was amazed to find a replacement! Fits perfect. Shipped fast.

The globe as accurately described in the catalog as fit for only later model Warbirds fans. However, for those with an earlier model (like the one I have), the globe can still be made to fit with a little adjustment to the metal tabs that hold on the globe. You need to grind down (i.e., shorten) each of the three tabs about 3/8 inch using a Dremel tool. If you do this, you can push the globe into place and twist it to engage the locking lugs on the globe.

However, be careful not to take too much off the tabs or the globe won't stay in place.

I broke the nose glass for out warbird ceiling fan some time ago.

This is an exact replacement part for our son's Flying Tiger ceiling fan. Without it, the fan looks is an eyesore. Downside and why 4 stars not 5, is that it is pricier than seems necessary. None the less, I am thrilled to have the glass nose tip back in place and glad we didn't put it off any longer. Great quality and super customer service.

After hours of searching in Australia for a now discontinued item here, one morning in the early hours I could not sleep so of course reached for the phone and started surfing the web, Almost fell out of bed when I found Tailwinds stocked the impossible Glass nose tip, no where to be found in Australia. Ordered and had it shipped to a freight company, It now completes my P-40 fan which prior looked very sad without its nose tip.

Bought this to replace a broken spinner on a relatively new P-51 fan on which the original cracked after a few weeks. The new tip fits better than the original.

Works and fits just as advertised.

The glass nose tip arrived quickly and is of good quality. The problem is that it is for the newer models and not my older fan. I will have to alter the mounting system in the fan nose to accept this tip but it is my only option due to the unavailability of the nose tip for the older model.

The original globe broke a long time ago. I didn't have much hope of getting it replaced, but after a little research I found it here, reasonably priced and hassle free! There was no way to tell prior to ordering if the new globe would fit, but my fan is labeled as a "1995 model", and when I received it, it fit perfectly. I can't thank you enough.

This replacement glass nose tip is twice as thick as the one that I received with the fan. I do not know if it was just mine, but I am very happy.

The glass was a good price, and shipped quick/well packed - but uses a totally different mounting. I would think there should be some replacement clips that could be included or at least some info on where to buy some or how to make my own.

My fan was purchased about 20 years ago and the new glass nose is slightly different mounting design. I had little time to work on making new mounts so it sits on a shelf right now. I figure I will need to take down the fan and re-machine the mount to fit the new nose.
