B-25 Airplane Relic with Doolittle Raid Photo
Now you can own a bit of aviation history with this handsomely framed historic photo of the Doolittle Raid with an authentic metal B-25 airplane relic. This photo was taken April 18, 1942 when 16 B-25 Mitchells were preparing for takeoff from the deck of the aircraft carrier the U.S.S. Hornet. This was the first attack on Tokyo since the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and some say it was the turning point of war with Japan. The metal skin relic was taken from a B-25 aircraft that was being renovated.
