This B-29 Superfortress Model Airplane is a scale model of the original B-29 "Enola Gay" aircraft. This B-29 Superfortress aircraft "Enola Gay" is most known for dropping the first nuclear bomb called "Little Boy" over Hiroshima, Japan on August 5, 1945. "Little Boy" was 12 feet long and 28 inches in diameter. Its power was like 20,000 tons of TNT or about what 2,000 B-29s would be able to carry. The mission pilot was Paul W. Tibbets, Jr. and he named the B-29 after his mother.

This authentic, extraordinary replica of the original aircraft has been faithfully reproduced with kiln dried Philippine mahogany wood. Each model is meticulously carved, hand sanded and painted following exact blueprint details of the original aircraft. The result is a handsome, wood airplane sculpture to be admired and enjoyed.
