Airplane Art Prints – This aviation print pays tribute to the Gee Bee Racer R-1 Airplane. The Gee Bee R-1 Airplane, built by the Granville brothers, was the winner of the 1932 Thompson cross country air race. Piloted by Jimmy Doolittle, the Gee Bee plane was often called The Flying Silo since the fuselage resembled a farm silo.
This print was originally done in watercolors and measures about 10" x 15". The unframed print arrives with a brief bio of the scene. The print is numbered, signed, and matted to about 15" x 20". For $5.00 more the print can be personalized with a short greeting and name.
